In the Paradigm's Persona, tandem matched Beryllium drivers reveal the full range of high performance. It can add more than an octave of distortion-free output. In industry testing, our Beryllium cone material exhibits substantial improvements in durability, speed, and reduced interference.
Precise control of the Truextent manufacturing process produces pure Beryllium foil with a highly uniform grain structure this is many times stiffer, yet far less dense, than more common cone materials. But because of its use in only the finest (and most expensive) audio equipment, it has retained a certain “cult” status. Beyond being a visually arresting example of fine industrial design, they are also sonically satisfying reproducers of music and a worthy addition to the top tier of Paradigm’s offerings. Indeed, the Persona B (the B is for bookshelf) is marketed alongside matching floorstanders, a centre speaker and sub, but this two-way standmount deserves to be turning hi-fi heads too. The Paradigm Persona 7F is one of the most enjoyable speaker sets that I’ve had the pleasure of auditioning in my home. In fact, Beryllium has been used in the audio industry since the 1970s. Based near Toronto in Canada, Paradigm has built a strong reputation for loudspeaker design since 1982, but possibly mostly for home cinema use. It is incredibly rigid and lightweight everything an audio engineer desires in a speaker cone.
